40 yards shot with the 125 grain Jekyll, arrow flew true with a little knock tuning prior to the hunt, will be continuing to use these for future hunts, was a through and through shot.
Devastating performance. Had a frontal shot on bull elk at 7 yards. Ran 20 yards and died. On breakdown the arrow had penetrated 1.5 feet into the chest cavity (VAP TKO, 482 grain arrows, 29” draw, 67 lbs, Hoyt). The VAP TKO label was partially buried in the abdominal cavity. Chest cavity was nothing but clot and two shredded lungs. Damage to the major vessels in the neck and chest was outstanding. Previously shot a G5 Montec for the past 8 years with good results, but have never seen performance like this. I have found my new broadhead for the next decade.

Shot this bull with the Jekyll and watched him start going down within sight. Dropped within 20 yards. It hit the offside shoulder, breaking through bone. It does have a small bend in the tip of the blade, but I've never seen a broadhead hit an elk shoulder and not do that.
